SCIENCE FAIR 2024-2025
Please review some important details below:
February 24 – 28 will be dedicated to final preparations and on February 26 & 27, 2025, the student’s projects will be judged by external judges. Students will have the opportunity to present their science experiments to the judges. The judges will listen to the students as they present and ask students questions related to their topic.
From Grades 1 to 5, students are allowed to work and present on their science fair projects in groups of 3’s. From grades 6 onwards, students are required to work individually on projects.
JKs & SKs will conduct a science display in their classrooms during the course of science week. This will not be judged but students will be part of the science hype this week.
Awards:
Gr 1 – 5: Medals will be awarded to 1st place and 2nd place in each class. Third place will receive certificates only.
Gr 6 – 8: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners in each class.
Topics should be grade-appropriate, which means, they must align with the students’ current curriculum level or higher keeping in mind the changes to the science curriculum to include STEM and coding components.
